Department of Civil Engineering is an influential department of P. R. PotePatil college of Engineering & Management with a vision of developing young dynamic civil engineers. A team of proficient faculties under the leadership of Dr. Mohammad Zuhair believes in high quality teaching and is very active in projects, conferences and research papers. The Bachelor of Engineering Program in Civil Engineering commenced from the academic year 2013 – 2014. The laboratory is fully equipped with equipment and latest computational software’s like ETAB, STAAD, SAP, AUTO CAD etc. which helps the students to develop expertise in Civil Engineering.
Rapidly growing infrastructure demands for highly qualified competent Civil engineers. Considered as one of the oldest engineering disciplines, Civil Engineering involves planning, designing and executing infrastructural development works. The profession deals with a wide variety of tasks that envisages designing, supervision and construction activities of bridges, tunnels, buildings, airports, dams, water works, sewage systems, ports, etc. and offer a multitude of challenging career opportunities. With privatization, liberalization, and globalization the scope of Civil Engineering has enhanced many folds.

Our vision is to be recognized as innovative and leading Civil Engineering Department. Our goal is to provide students with a balance of intellectual and practical experiences that enable them to serve a variety of societal needs. In our department students are nurtured to become best professionals as Project Managers, Structural designers in Industry or become Entrepreneurs in their own innovative way. We are having hard-working students, a young and dynamic faculty, whose expertise spans the range of disciplines in Civil Engineering stream and a very healthy work-culture. About Civil Engineering Department
P.R.Pote college of Engineering & Management (PRPCEM) has established Civil Engineering Department having intake of 120 students every year with a vision of developing young dynamic civil engineers. Civil Engg. Dept of college is fully equipped with best position of teaching faculty, sophisticated laboratory equipments and latest computational software’s like ETAB, STAAD, SAP, AUTO CAD etc. which helps the students to develop expertise in Civil Engineering.
Civil engineering is a professional engineering discipline that deals with the design, construction, and maintenance of the physical and naturally built environment, including works like roads, bridges, canals, dams, and buildings. It is traditionally broken into several sub-disciplines including environmental engineering, geotechnical engineering, , structural engineering, earthquake engineering, transportation engineering, earth science, municipal or urban engineering, water resources engineering, materials engineering, offshore engineering, coastal engineering,surveying, and construction engineering. Civil engineering takes place in the public sector from municipal through to national governments, and in the private sector from individual homeowners through to international companies.
